Tuesday's Tip
What other season are we currently celebrating other than Fall? Football season! There is football on Thursday nights, Saturday all day, Sunday all day, and Monday nights. That's more than half the week that this season is celebrated. Even if you are not a fan of watching football, a family member or friend of yours probably is and will probably pull you into the celebration. Whether you are going to the actual game, meeting up with people at a bar to view it, or having a party at your house to see your favorite teams, there is going to be a lot of food and drinks. You will want to indulge just like at those work potlucks and holiday parties, but there are some full-proof ways that you can avoid feeling sick and guilty the next day. Never go to football game day festivities starving. Rather, have a protein and whole wheat packed meal prior to going so your body is satisfied and full. You'll probably still pick at foods, but that's fine because those unhealthy things will be in a much smaller amount. Also remember to have some sort of hydrating beverage in between your fancy drinks and brews. Water or gatorade are great options commonly found at sporting events that will save you from those alcohol hangover headaches in the morning. So, get out their and support your favorite teams, but also make sure you are supporting your body!
