Snack Time... Again!

Tuesday's Tip

Have you ever had to go a long time without eating? Perhaps you got busy at work, had lots of errands to run, or forgot to pack a lunch/lunch money. The next thing you know, you're starving! The minute that food is in sight and able to be eaten, you go at it as if you are a bottomless pit. 30min later, you are regretting everything about the last half hour. I am notorious for doing this around the holidays. I purposely wait until the big meal time is here to eat because I know there will be SO much delicious food. After a bit of gorging, I feel sick and as if I might not have room for dessert (GASP!). So how do we fix this? In order to keep your metabolism going throughout the day while staying full and satisfied at the same time, try eating snacks in between each meal. My food line-up for the day is usually Breakfast--> Snack--> Lunch--> Snack--> Dinner--> Dessert. I don't let myself feel hungry and, therefore, rarely have those instances where I find myself inhaling whatever food is in front of me. My mind also is satisfied because of how many times I eat during the day. Go on, give it a shot!


*Almonds, crackers and cottage cheese, chips and salsa, yogurt, and fruit are some of my favorite in-between-meal snacks
