Ingredient Swap

Tuesday's Tip

Did you know that certain kinds of fruit are great healthy replacements in many recipes that often are fattening and calorie ridden? Applesauce can replace fatty oil in recipes for brownies or cakes. You won't even notice the difference! Bananas are thick enough that they can replace base ingredient like flour and sugar in cookie and pancake recipes or cream and sugar in ice cream recipes, desserts and meals that are so delicious but that often leave us feeling guilty that we indulged. You don't have to feel that way anymore! Enjoy your favorite "guilty" pleasures minus the guilt.

*This tip inspired by my mom who first introduced me to the applesauce trick and my friends Missy and Molly for sharing their new uses for bananas. Yum!
