Raise your hand if exercising is one of your 2014 New Year's Resolutions! The first day of the first month of a brand new year does have a refreshing feel to it, doesn't it? I applaud you for wanting to get more active this year, BUT WAIT! First things first. Before each exercise comes great stretching. In fact, stretching can be a great exercise all in itself. Getting your muscles used to moving in extreme ways will most definitely set your body up for success, and it will make you feel MUCH better hours after your work-out is over. Without proper stretching before and after a work-out, your body will feel aches and pains the next day that you wouldn't wish on your biggest enemy... No matter what kind of work-out I am doing, I always do the same stretch routine which stretches my muscles from head to toe. It takes about 15 minutes to do with each stretch lasting for 5-10 seconds. It also is a very refreshing way to help wake up in the morning!
