You Are Getting Sleeeeepy, Very Sleeeeepy

Tuesday's Tip

Did you know that studies have found there to be a link between not getting enough sleep and being overweight? As you get older, your body requires less sleep since it is not growing anymore. Generally speaking, a solid 7-9 hours is a must once you have reached adulthood. If you do not get what your body needs, you might find yourself pouring an extra cup of coffee, eating a nutrition bar, or picking a donut out of the box someone brought into work to give you that energy boost that you think your body needs. The long term effect is that you will have eaten something you may not have needed, something sugar-filled or unhealthy, when all your body may have needed was an extra hour of sleep at night. So, before you grab a brownie or espresso to get you through the day, think about grabbing some extra Zzz's that night.
