To continue on with my trip to Rochester, NY to see my beautiful friend Lindsay get married to her Prince Charming, today's crazy sweet endeavor comes straight from an original donut shop only found in Rochester. All of us bridesmaids got to Lindsay's uncle's house early on Friday to start with the primping process, and there were donuts in the kitchen for breakfast. I am not usually a fan of having sweets so early in the morning because I feel like it sets the day up for having no rules and sweets all day long, and especially when I knew I had a dress to fit into later on that day for the wedding. However (you saw that turn coming, didn't you?), the Rochester natives convinced me that I just HAD to try these donuts as they were unlike any chain donut shop's donuts. Ok, they twisted my arm! The first one I had was a delicious vanilla frosting filled powdered sugar donut. It was huge and full of frosting unlike some filled donuts where you have to go on a hunt to find the filling. I was thinking about the yumminess a couple hours after and snuck back to get a second one, this time the glazed donut topped with dollop of sweet lemon filling (lemon is Seth's favorite, so I may have done a bit of taunting via text message). I decided to call it quits for the day after 2, but there were so many others to try! Luckily, the next morning's brunch also included these tasty donuts, and I was able to add the chocolate frosting filled powdered sugar donut to the list on ones I had tried. YUM TO ALL! Thanks for introducing me to these pastries Rochester :)
