Lather, Rinse, Repeat

Tuesday's Tip

Still finding it hard to get in a daily workout? I am a creature of habit. Once I get into the groove of a routine, it is near impossible for me to deviate from that routine. Maybe it's the Type A/checklist obsessor in me? I recently got a new job and had to alter my morning routine since my new in-time isn't until 11:30am as opposed to 6:15am. I get to sleep in a bit more and have plenty of time to do my morning run with my puppy, daily cleaning chore, and breakfast with my husband. It sure has been nice! It took a couple of days to set it in stone, but now that I have my routine down, there is no reason that I will have to miss my workout since it is embedded into my day. Sure, I could sleep in until 10am with still plenty of time to get ready for work, but while creating this morning routine, I used my priorities to help set the times and order. I know that I need to feed my puppy at a certain time so that she doesn't have an accident in her crate, like to keep a clean house, want to get my daily workout in, and want to spend time with Seth before work. Those were my priorities, so it was easy to create a new daily routine for myself. Try making your own daily line-up that includes a workout (since it should be a top priority). Before you know it, you will be in your own groove making it mentally effortless to get that exercise in!
