4 years ago, I learned about a magical place where food came in every shape and size and people spent hours grocery shopping because of the fun they had at their grocery store. This store, though, was only up north, and my friend could not believe that I had never heard of it. Since then, lots of others I know that area also would profess their love for this store and what it offers, so I started to really think that there was something special about it. When we were making our plans for my friend's wedding in NY, she insisted that we go and visit this "tourist destination" while we were in town. I kept reminding her that it was her wedding weekend, that we might be a bit busy, and it would be ok if we didn't make it there. Well, that was not ok with her, and she was determined to get us there before we returned to FL. Before she took us to the airport the day after the wedding, we made our grand stop at Wegmans to finally see what all of the hype was about. I have to admit, that although I had my doubts, it was quite the experience. My favorite part, of course? The bakery! It was huuuge, and I knew I had to get a souvenir from my trip. I took Lindsay's expert Wegmans advice and got a gigantic chocolate chip cookie cup with buttercream frosting and sprinkled with chocolate chips. Thankfully I was able to use my cheat-day for the week since it was during Lent! Forget the peanuts or pretzels, I had a cookie cup as my plane snack on the flight home!
