Whipped and Dipped

Sweet Recipe Saturday

Not only is Saturday all about sweets, it's also all about the Farmers Market! Today was a very busy day at the Winter Garden Farmers Market, but it was no surprise given that it was a beautifully sunny day. You can definitely tell that summer is near. Kids were playing in the water fountains that shoot up from the ground, and locally owned companies were out showcasing what their unique offerings are. I love going because I think it is so important to support the local economy, and you can really feel the passion that these businesses have for their products and how they can impact the community. Another great part is that we can take the puppy! Motzi loved meeting up with her friend Colby and seeing all of the other puppies there. It was a great way to start off our weekend!

One of my favorite stations to visit is the Simply Savory Gourmet dip station. They showcase tons of different kinds of very unique dips from sweet to savory. You purchase the type of flavoring you want that comes in powder form, and you bring it home to fix it up into a delicious dip. The difference between these powdered flavorings and store-bought flavorings is that these have no artificial sweeteners or preservatives, so it's 100% natural! I decided to try a sweet one today in honor of Sweet Recipe Saturday, and it was quite the hit! A white chocolate raspberry powder combined with cream cheese and whipped topping made for a light and very flavorful afternoon dessert. I broke apart some honey graham crackers as well as some chocolate graham crackers which made for the perfect pairings to this fluffy pink dip. Semi-homemade, locally made, quickly made, and easily made. What more could you ask for? Get out to your local Farmers Market and see what yummy things you can find!
