Sizeable Sweet Potato Pancake

Maniac Monday: Challenge- Girl Vs. Sweet Potato Pancake

Seth and I went home to Sarasota this past weekend to celebrate Father's Day with our dads, and the weekend kicked off at Another Broken Egg Cafe in Lakewood Ranch, FL for brunch with Seth's dad. It was my second time there after going for Mother's Day with my family (check out my first experience here!), but it was Seth's and his dad's first time. I knew they were going to love it. Seth has this thing about having seafood in everything he can when we are out of town, and his love for shellfish drew him right to their Stan's #1 omelet. Seth's dad, Kevin, went for a more traditional omelet loaded with some veggies and meat. I, of course, decided to kick of this Father's Day celebration weekend by satisfying my sweet tooth right away. The Sweet Potato Pancake covered my entire plate, was loaded with sweet pecans, smothered with a special orange marmalade syrup, and topped with a dollop of whipped cream. It was sweet with a cinnamon-spiced kick at the end that left you craving another bite. The staff was so friendly, and they even welcomed our puppy, Motzi, with a bowl of water in their pet-friendly patio! This is quickly becoming our go-to place for breakfast in Sarasota. Thanks Another Broken Egg Cafe!
