Maniac Monday: Challenge- Girl Vs. Kesh Restaurant
A friend of mine brought me to my very first blog event a couple of weeks ago. It was a nice little gathering of fellow foodies in the Central Florida area, and it was fun to hear about what each person there has a true passion for in relation to food. The event was hosted at a restaurant called Kesh that specializes in sandwiches. Chef Jerry makes nearly every single component his offerings contain with local ingredients, and the ones he doesn't are shipped in from where he has found the best of the best. The menu is written in chalk so things could be easily transitioned in and out as the chef makes a special menu nearly every day. He combines sweet and savory for some mouthwatering creations that had us all sampling each others' selections. I got a delicious dressed up peanut butter and jelly sandwich with creamy peanut butter, raspberry jelly, nutella, banana, and fudge butter that was all pressed between crunchy bread and served warm. It was huge, but do you think that, after hearing what the components of that sandwich are, there was any remnant of a sandwich left when I was done? The answer is an obvious no. We also sampled a brownie ice cream sandwich that was, again, hand made with his hot chocolate ice cream between 2 moist chocolate brownies. It fell apart when you cut into it and melted away in your mouth. He also had a grilled banana bread that was spiced with cinnamon and topped with whipped cream. The idea of caramelizing something that is already so tasty left us wanting more, even though we were so full. What an amazing night out with some amazing foodies with some amazing food! Check it out for yourself here!.
Like the look of the Cinnamon Banana Bread.
