While driving by an outdoor shopping center in town, the word "Sweet!" on a store front catches my eye. Upon further investigation, it instantly becomes clear that the name is exactly what you expect to see, smell, and taste as it is adorned with a frozen yogurt and condiments bar as well as an array of cupcakes. The cupcakes come in sizes from mini to regular to huge which make them perfect for any occasion. Have you seen the show "Cupcake Wars" on the Food Network? Then, you've probably heard of Miss Holly, the owner and genius behind these sweets. Since it is a bit far from our side of town, we always know that a stop must be made to get our cupcake fix in when we are in the vicinity. It had been quite a while, but a friend I were recently over on that side of town, and even though we had just come from an event where we enjoyed so many delicious food offerings, we still ventured over to Sweet! to get some cupcakes to-go. I wanted to bring home one of every single cupcake as they all looked so good, but I managed to pick minis of 4 of my favorites- Carrot, Nutella, Peanut Butter, and Key Lime (Seth's favorite). After the 45 minute drive home, despite how full I was, I was craving those flavors and knew they wouldn't last through the night. Each one melted in my mouth, and the flavors blended together so perfectly. Not only do they taste amazing, they look amazing too. Each one gets a finishing touch that seems to scream, "EAT ME NOW! I'M GOING TO TASTE SO GOOD!". So, you do! Other cupcake shops in the area seem to come and go, but Sweet! by Miss Holly always remains, and thank goodness for that!
