Lent is nearing the end, and I am really starting to be able to taste that luscious chocolate again. To finish strong, I was reflecting on one of the biggest and most delicious cupcakes I have tried, and it comes from one of my favorite restaurants. I have posted before about my experience at 4Rivers Smokehouse, and I'm sure I will post more considering it's amazingness. Seth had gone for lunch with a friend in town while I was at work, and I came home to this beautiful, handcrafted, layered, decadent gem of a dessert. He sure does know the way to my heart! The outside is a rich chocolate ganache that gives it this glossy look wanting you to just dive right in. The center is composed of chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, and chocolate fudge. It is daintily drizzled, then, with vanilla icing. Oh, did I forget to mention the big chunks of brownie that are on top? I honestly do not think that more chocolate could be loaded onto one dessert. It was so big that I had to eat it with a fork! Now, that's my kind of cupcake. Thanks again for a great experience for my palate, 4Rivers Smokehouse!
