Birthdays are always a great time to get friends together to reminisce on memories, catch up on each others' lives, and eat yummy food! The lovely Guest of honor, my dear friend Caitlin, had been mentioning this delicious dessert called the Tres Leches at Chuy's forever, so we knew that was the perfect place to go for her birthday fun. "Tres leches" is Spanish for "three milks", and that's exactly what it has in it- evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy whipping cream. The cake is like a sponge and soaks up as much of those three milks as possible leaving the remainder of the sweet sauce to dipped in (or scooped up and enjoyed on its own like I found myself doing once my cake was gone). Many of the famous Tres Leches were ordered at the table, and everybody's taste buds were going crazy! It was even tastier than I had imagined. Needless to say, a few more were ordered after our server brought out the first batch. For those that couldn't finish theirs, I was there to lend a helping hand. They were simply irresistible! Happy Birthday Cait :)
