Fit Day Friday
Every heard the saying, "Kill two birds with one stone"? It's all about efficiency. Exercising can sometimes feel like a task rather than a fun activity, right? Whenever I have tasks that need to get done, I try to use my time efficiently. I got a set of small house weights for my birthday, and typically I would set aside an extra 10 minutes to simply lift weights; however, we have had company in town, so I have had earlier starts to my day and more things to take care of. I REFUSE to sacrifice my workout, though, and am convinced that there is always time to get a good workout in no matter what the circumstances are. I decided to take my 3-pound weights with me on my run this morning. 3 pounds does not seem like a lot, but after jogging with one in each hand for 20 minutes, it definitely proved to be a great arm workout. Sure, it was harder work, but it saved me that 10 minutes it usually takes for me to finish my weight exercises. Now, that is what I call efficient!
*Make sure you are careful if running with weights! Don't try to use ones that start off feeling like they're even a little bit heavy.
